Hello there...

I made recently a change to one of my external distribution lists in groupwise and wondered if they can be managed via a perl script. I can extract, change, add or delete any information I want in edir but I seem not to be able to change anything related to groupwise.I assume that in order to talk to the groupwise entries in edirectory you need to have libraries/plugins. Does anyone have an idea how that would work.

Thank you,
pascal

If you are running on the server itself, I am not aware of any way you
could modify stuff which is in the Groupwise Database (instead of NDS).
If you are running on a client, you may be able to call into the COM
objects provided by the GW Client etc., but this seems like a lot of fun
with probably only limited success :-)

Thanks for the quick answer. That would be interesting indeed but I would be laughed at for the amount of time invested to get a simple automated mailing list going.

thanks again,

Not sure, but how about setting up NDS Sync on the MTA, and then just
manipulate the eDir....

During the Next scheduled run, it just might catch up ???

Thanks Tommy,

That is a good idea but sadly I am using a Non-Groupwise Domain as my
mailing list container. As far as I know that will not synchronise with the
DS.

cheers,
